Ticket Information In the Northeast corridor, Acela Express, Metroliner, and Regional fares vary depending on the time and day of the week you are traveling. Tickets may be purchased over the phone, on line, at Amtrak ticket offices, at Quik-Trak machines, and from your travel agent. Quik-Trak machines at many stations allow you to purchase tickets or pick up reserved tickets with a credit card. Tickets may also be purchased on board on some trains, when the ticket office is closed. Photo ID is required and higher fares apply.

Ticket Information Purchase your ticket before boarding trains when a ticket agent and/or ticket vending machine (TVM) is available. Tickets are also available on-board from train personnel. Train personnel can only accept cash, and a $5 surcharge is applicable if TVMs were available or ticket offices were open at the time of boarding at your origin station.
